Horizon Europe - EUSPA

Through Horizon Europe, EUSPA stimulates the market development of the EU Space downstream sector and supports the uptake of space-based solutions. Our space calls are placed under the pillar II of Horizon Europe, where specifically Cluster 4 of the Work Programme focuses on Digital, Industry, and Space.

The Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025 is now published. The Work Programme 2025 includes the new EUSPA call that brings a collective investment of 15 million EUR.

ESA's Junior Professional Programme

The ESA Junior Professional Programme (JPP) targets Master’s degree graduates with two to three years of professional experience. Junior Professionals join ESA as staff members for four years and benefit from tailored learning and development opportunities to prepare them for a permanent position at the European Space Agency at the end of their JP assignment.

As of 2025, 15 Junior Professional positions will be published each year. This year's call for applications is due to be announced in May 2025.

The Island Council of Tenerife will provide daily imagery of the Canary Islands and selected areas across Europe in multiple spectral bands—including infrared and visible—at mid- to high-spatial resolution. The data will be offered at no cost to startups. EPIC Health from Space Competition

Objective

The objective of the EPIC Health from Space Competition is to spotlight European space start-ups and scale-ups using space technologies to address challenges in healthcare, public health, biomedical research and health system resilience. The competition encourage collaboration between space companies, healthcare actors, institutions and industry to turn space-enabled innovation into real-world impact. 

Prize

Selected companies will receive: 

  • Sponsoring of 2000 EUR to attend the Health from Space Conference & Exhibition 2026 in Cannes. A maximum of 3 companies will be selected.
  • Support from ESA to engage with potential partners, stakeholders and institutional actors.

Innovative space-based applications enhancing capabilities for a resilient Europe - Horizon Europe

Projects aim to develop market-ready EGNSS-based applications that enhance the capabilities and resilience of crisis and security practitioners such as law enforcement, border guards, and civil protection. Solutions should integrate cybersecurity, may combine Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus, and GOVSATCOM data, and reach TRL 7–9. The goal is to deliver innovative, commercially viable tools that address operational gaps, improve crisis management and infrastructure protection, and promote the broader use of EU Space Programme services.
