This Symposium will be the 27th in a series of conferences initiated in 1973 by the Member States of EASP to provide a platform for scientists and engineers using sounding rockets and balloons in their research, and to advance progress in related scientific disciplines. The scope of the Symposium also includes related ground-based, aircraft and satellite research, new developments in technology, improvements of range facilities, and space education. The Symposium participants are given the opportunity to report on their latest achievements and future plans in the various scientific and technical fields. It is a widely recognised occasion for efficient communication between scientists, engineers from industry, project managers and range personnel, and thus a good starting point for stronger collaboration. The Symposium highlights new trends and latest developments in the use of sounding rockets and balloons for scientific research, facilitating the establishment of strategic roadmaps towards the future of the subject activities.

Following the success of previous editions, ESA's Education Office, in collaboration with ESA’s Requirements and Standards Section, is once again organising the five-day Space Standards Training Course. The eighth edition of this course will take place in person from 1 to 5 June 2026 at ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Facility in ESA’s European Space Security and Education Centre (ESEC), Belgium.

ESA’s Education Office is inviting university students to apply for the CubeSat Hands-On Training Week 2026. This event offers a rare chance to strengthen both theoretical understanding and practical skills related to spacecraft hardware and software.

ILA Berlin leads in innovation, new technology, and sustainability, bringing the world's aerospace industry to the center of Europe every two years - next time from June 10 to 14, 2026.

The Summer School is designed in a blended format. In the first week, students will take part in a series of lectures and workshops held at the ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Facility located at ESEC-Galaxia in Transinne, Belgium. Participants will collaborate with fellow university students in dynamic team settings. Together, they will brainstorm and develop innovative ideas for gravity-related experiments. In the second week, students will attend online sessions and work in teams to devise and present their gravity-related experiment proposal on the last day of the Summer School. During the Summer School, participants will attend stimulating lectures led by renowned international experts from ESA and ELGRA. Students will benefit from their experience and expertise in gravity-related research across different disciplines and gain insights into the practical aspects of their day-to-day work.

The ISD is organised by the SME Office in the ESA Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Procurement to foster cooperation between different actors in the entire space sector. Key elements of the event include: ➔ pre-scheduled 1-on-1 meetings to establish new contacts in an efficient and time-saving manner ➔ an exhibition with ESA and industry booths and the possibility to engage with future partners ➔ keynotes and panel discussions with contributions by ESA, industry, investors and institutional partners ➔ ESA presentations and workshops about business opportunities and future activities Participants will be able to register as of quarter 1 2026.
