EUMETSAT will be joined in the organisation and hosting of the event by Météo-France, the national provider for weather and climate services in France. The theme of this year’s annual EUMETSAT conference is “From Space to Safety: Earth Observation for Future Weather and Climate Preparedness”.

ESA cordially invites you to the 6th ESA Mission Operations Hands-On Experience at ESOC, Darmstadt. Mission Operations at its best! For the sixth time, ESA offers this unique 4-day course to bring to life the fascinating world of spacecraft operations with its unique challenges and need for excellent teamwork. This course provides an insight into the secrets of ESA Space Mission Operation’s success, covering operations concepts, architecture and interfaces, the roles and responsibilities of the different teams, the mission planning and scheduling processes and the different challenges encountered in each mission phase. Finally, how to effectively manage spacecraft anomalies and contingency recovery operations will be discussed and later practised.

The Space Camp Program will carry out in the training facilities of the ESBAŞ Space Camp in İzmir. The residential educational program will take place from August 24 to 30, 2025, with a total of 96 participants, including 2 teachers and 10 students aged 9–15 from each member and observer state of the Organization of Turkic States (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus). Each member and observer country will also select 3 alternate students in case any of the 10 designated students are unable to attend the program. The language of education will be English.
